We’re looking for an Education & Training Facilitator & Therapist to join the team at Galway Rape Crisis Centre.

This role involves delivering trauma-informed training and education on sexual violence, consent, and healthy relationships across schools, universities, workplaces, and community organisations — both online and in person.

We’re looking for a qualified psychotherapist with experience in sexual violence, strong facilitation skills, and a commitment to education, advocacy, and ongoing learning.

The role includes:
• Facilitating trainings and workshops
• Developing educational content and resources
• Supporting groups in a trauma-informed way
• Working closely as part of a supportive team

Experience working with diverse groups and online facilitation platforms such as Zoom and Teams is desirable. Travel for training delivery may be required at times.

The role also includes developing and updating educational content, training materials, and resources as part of a collaborative team.

We are looking for someone with:
• Experience facilitating workshops or training
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Strong IT skills, including Zoom and Teams
• A commitment to ongoing learning and best practice in consent education and sexual violence prevention

Experience working with diverse groups and knowledge of trauma-informed practice, sexual violence, and consent education is desirable. Travel for training delivery may be required at times.

Volunteer Become Part Of The Psychological Support Team

Our team of Psychological Supports provide much needed advocacy and psychological support to survivors in the aftermath of a sexual assault or rape.

This is a 24/7 call out service provided by Galway Rape Crisis Centre within the Galway Sexual Assault Treatment Unit.

As a Psychological Support Team member you will be on call 3 times per month and commit to a minimum of 2-year service.

Please note that the role of the Psychological Supporter is NOT a counselling role, but one of providing crucial advocacy and psychological support.

This service would not exist without the incredible Volunteers that give so freely of their valuable time.
