GRCC are now recruiting for a Helpline Administrator. This is a fulltime position Monday to Friday 9.30a.m to 5.30p.m. Beginning July 2026
GRCC's Helpline service is often the first point of contact for individuals seeking to engage with the centre. We require someone who has excellent communications skills and who can respond in an empathic and compassionate manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer Helpline calls.
• Field calls to GRCC’s business line.
• Input client information to the GRCC database.
• Liaise with counselling, accompaniment and support teams on issues pertaining to clients.

ESSENTIAL

• Capacity to respond appropriately to individuals who may be in distress.
• Capacity to align with the values and ethos of GRCC.
• Ability to engage with all people from all backgrounds in a manner that is warm, respectful and trustworthy.
• Proven experience of ability to work in a collaborative and mutually supportive way with colleagues and others.
• Capacity for active listening and clear, warm communication.
• Excellent organisational, prioritising and time management skills.
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands.
• Enjoys working with people, is approachable, and warm and friendly
• Excellent IT skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Appropriate training will be provided.

This is a fulltime position : Benefits are Salary : € 45,000 per annum. 29 days Annual Leave.

We are hiring an Education & Training Facilitator & Course Developer to join the team at Galway Rape Crisis Centre.
This role involves delivering interactive, trauma-informed training on consent, healthy relationships, and sexual violence prevention to schools, universities, workplaces, and community organisations — both online and in person.
The role also includes developing and updating educational content, training materials, and resources as part of a collaborative team.
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience facilitating workshops or training
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Strong IT skills, including Zoom and Teams
• A commitment to ongoing learning and best practice in consent education and sexual violence prevention
Experience working with diverse groups and knowledge of trauma-informed practice, sexual violence, and consent education is desirable. Travel for training delivery may be required at times.
