Specialised Training in Trauma and Sexual Violence

Take the next step in advancing your professional practice with this specialist training programme delivered by Galway Rape Crisis Centre.

Designed for qualified and pre-accredited counsellors and psychotherapists, this comprehensive course will deepen your understanding of trauma and sexual violence while strengthening your clinical confidence, skills, and competence in this vital area of therapeutic work.

The programme includes:

• A blend of in-person and online learning
• Experiential and skills-based learning opportunities
• Integration of a range of theoretical models
• IACP-accredited training awarding 90 CPD points

We are hiring an Education & Training Facilitator & Course Developer to join the team at Galway Rape Crisis Centre.
This role involves delivering interactive, trauma-informed training on consent, healthy relationships, and sexual violence prevention to schools, universities, workplaces, and community organisations — both online and in person.
The role also includes developing and updating educational content, training materials, and resources as part of a collaborative team.
We are looking for someone with:
• Experience facilitating workshops or training
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Strong IT skills, including Zoom and Teams
• A commitment to ongoing learning and best practice in consent education and sexual violence prevention
Experience working with diverse groups and knowledge of trauma-informed practice, sexual violence, and consent education is desirable. Travel for training delivery may be required at times.
