Celtic Nature Poetry in Word and Image
Celtic Nature Poetry in Word and Image invites you to step into the world of the ancient Celts — a world where nature was sacred, poetry was born from the land, and every tree, season, and wild element held deep symbolic meaning.
This inspiring collection brings together Irish and Welsh nature poems rooted in Celtic oral tradition. Artist and author Alexandra van Tuyll pairs these timeless verses with her own evocative paintings, creating a beautiful harmony of word and image that captures the Celtic reverence for the natural world.
Originally from the Netherlands and now based on Achill Island, Alexandra has devoted her life to the arts. Her work is exhibited widely in Ireland and abroad, and she has published several books supporting Irish charities. A long-standing supporter of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre (GRCC), Alexandra has generously donated 40 copies of this book to GRCC, with all proceeds from the sale of these copies going directly to support the centre’s work.
